How do I set up an alert to get notified when my tax refund is posted to my account?
It’s easy. Log into myWisely.com or the myWisely mobile app2 to set up alerts to get notified the instant your tax refund arrives. You can check your balance, view transaction history, find nearby ATMs3, see spending trends, and much more. You can access your card account online or from your phone, anytime, anywhere, with myWisely.

What is the status of my tax refund and how can I check?
Your tax refund will be added to your Wisely Direct account as soon as your return is processed and completed by the IRS. However, our customer care team does not have information on when your tax refund will arrive. If everything has been entered correctly and the IRS accepts your tax returns, your refund will be loaded directly into your Wisely® Direct account. To check the status of your refund, please visit the IRS website (link: www.irs.gov/refunds) or call them at 800-829-1954. The IRS website is updated once every 24 hours with information on the status of your tax refund.
How can I use my tax refund added to my Wisely Direct account?
Use your card for everyday purchases:
Once your refund is added to your Wisely Direct account, you can use your card on the phone, online, or in any store that accepts Debit Mastercard®. You can also add your Wisely Direct card to your mobile wallet. Pay with a single touch anywhere Apple Pay®, Samsung Pay® or Google Pay™ is accepted.
Paying bills:
You can pay merchants who accept Mastercard debit cards directly with your card without a fee. Contact your billers/retailers for their direct bill payment options as third party fees may apply. You will also be able to use the services of a third-party bill pay provider by logging into your account on the myWisely mobile app2 or at myWisely.com. Click on link to the third party’s website once logged in. Please refer to the separate terms & conditions and fees pertinent to the bill payment service provider.
Recurring monthly payments (such as mobile phone):
Contact your biller/retailer for their direct bill payment options to see if they accept card payments.5 If they do, enter in your card information into the recurring billing payments form.
Can I save part of my tax refund for future bills or a special occasion?
Yes, and it’s easy! Once your tax refund is added to your account, register or log into the myWisely mobile app2 or at myWisely.com. Tap or click “Future,” and start saving.3
