How does early direct deposit work?
Once you elect to receive your pay on an upgraded Wisely Pay card2 and opt-in to receive Early Direct Deposit:
- Your employer submits payroll to their bank
- Wisely receives employer’s payment instructions
- Wisely deposits funds after processing
- In most cases, you will receive pay up to 2 days early, but it may be less depending on when we receive the payment instructions
Is there a fee to get early direct deposit?
No, there is no cost to get early direct deposit.
Is my card eligible for direct deposit?
If your card is upgraded, you are eligible to opt-in to receive early direct deposit. If not, you must upgrade your card, it’s easy to request and fee-free. Request an upgrade by calling 866-313-69012.
If I already have direct deposit set-up, do I need to opt in to get paid early?1
Yes, once your card is upgraded2, you need to opt in to early direct deposit, even if you already have direct deposit set up for your pay. It’s simple and easy. Log into your Wisely account at mywisely.com/pay or download the myWisely® app3 and go to your account settings > direct deposit. Slide the early direct deposit button on to agree to the disclosures and to enable early direct deposit.
Does my employer need to use ADP for payroll for me to get early direct deposit?
No
Does my card need to be upgraded to get early direct deposit?
Yes. Your card must be upgraded before setting up early direct deposit. It is easy to request a no-fee upgrade. Just call 866-313-6901 to request an upgrade2 and enjoy other great benefits.
Is early direct deposit guaranteed?
No, early direct deposit of your funds is not guaranteed. The timing of early direct deposit depends on when your employer or payer submits the direct deposit information for processing. Funds are made available after receipt of payment instructions versus posting funds at settlement.
How long does it take for early direct deposit to take effect?
Once you opt in to receive early direct deposit, it may take up to two pay cycles after you enroll for early direct deposit to take effect.
Can I set up an alert to get notified when my pay is posted to my account?
Yes, it’s easy. Log into your Wisely account at mywisely.com/pay or the myWisely® app3. Select account settings > alert setting to set up alerts for value loads. You can check your balance, view transaction history, see spending trends, and much more. You can access your card account online or from your phone, anytime, anywhere, with myWisely3.
What should I do if I no longer want early direct deposit?
You can opt-out at any time by logging into your Wisely account at mywisely.com/pay or the myWisely® app3, go to your account setting > direct deposit > slide the early direct deposit button off to disable early direct deposit. Note that it could take up to two pay cycles before your election to opt-out is effective.
